Bravura is copyright 2015 Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH, with Reserved Font Name Bravura, under SIL Open Font License 1.1. The exact license and font log shipped by alphaTab 1.8.4 are bundled with the app and reproduced in Settings.

StringMap classical guitar SoundFont is based on FreePats Spanish classical guitar, 2019-06-18, recorded by Roberto roberto@zenvoid.org and dedicated by its creator to the public domain under CC0 1.0. Source: https://freepats.zenvoid.org/Guitar/acoustic-guitar.html . The complete CC0 dedication, provenance and exact source/output checksums are bundled with the app.

StringMap's original metronome click and bank mapping adaptation are also dedicated to CC0 1.0. Guitar samples remain unchanged. The source-pinned reproduction script is scripts/build-guitar-soundfont.py. The previous SONiVOX/Creative-derived bank is no longer bundled in iOS. The web development reference still uses alphaTab's upstream bank and is not the distributed iOS product.

The unmodified alphaTab source is available at https://github.com/CoderLine/alphaTab/tree/v1.8.4. The app bundles the MPL-2.0 license. StringMap's separate bridge is original application code.

Songbook · Familiar Classics

20 traditional songs and classical themes are provided in 40 original StringMap guitar arrangements: Melody and Chords. Only historical instrumental melodies are used. No lyrics, historical piano/choral accompaniments, external recordings, source images, commercial tabs, or modern guitar arrangements are bundled. Each song’s About this tune section identifies its historical edition, chosen version, and source link.

The collection includes Amazing Grace, Auld Lang Syne, Greensleeves, Flow Gently Sweet Afton, The Ash Grove, The Blue Bells of Scotland, Home Sweet Home, Long Long Ago, Oh Susanna, Home on the Range, Ode to Joy (theme), Für Elise (opening theme), Petzold’s Minuet in G, Brahms’ Lullaby, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Frère Jacques, Mary Had a Little Lamb, London Bridge, Row Row Row Your Boat, and Drink to Me Only with Thine Eyes. Historical variants are identified in the catalog. Chords is an original beginner accompaniment, not the melody or a copy of an earlier harmonization.

Original exercises

The 18 bundled single-note exercises were created for StringMap. No third-party song or arrangement is included in this catalog.

StringMap classical guitar SoundFont

Based on FreePats Spanish classical guitar, version 2019-06-18, recorded by Roberto roberto@zenvoid.org in 2008 using an AKG Perception 120 microphone. Samples were filtered and processed by their creator. Source: https://freepats.zenvoid.org/Guitar/acoustic-guitar.html .

The creator dedicates the recordings and bank to the public domain under CC0 1.0. The complete dedication is in LICENSE. StringMap also dedicates its original metronome click and bank adaptation to CC0 1.0.

No SONiVOX or Creative-bank samples are included. Guitar PCM is unchanged from the pinned source. A 10 dB preset attenuation reserves headroom for simultaneous strings; six-string chords at maximum MIDI velocity are checked for clipping. scripts/build-guitar-soundfont.py adds General MIDI nylon program 24, program 25 for older saved scores, and an original 60 ms synthesized metronome click on percussion key 33. Edge sample zones extend across MIDI 0–127 for notation audition, with resampling; the normal tested guitar range is MIDI 36–88. Natural sample tuning is within 18 cents of equal temperament across that tested range. Physical device listening remains part of release QA.

Reproduction: download SpanishClassicalGuitar-SF2-20190618.7z from the source page, extract it, and run the build script with its SpanishClassicalGuitar-20190618.sf2 path. The script rejects a different source checksum.

node scripts/verify-soundfont.mjs renders actual PCM using the bundled alphaTab synthesizer, checking finite, non-silent guitar samples, compatibility program 25, and metronome audio. This is synthesis evidence, not a physical speaker/Bluetooth test.
